I've been able to trace back to Harry Thompson, Fulton, Clarendon County, South Carolina. DOB about 1820. Looking to go back beyond 1820 maybe to include his parents, etc

My Thompsons start with George W. Thompson in the counties of Down from the city of Belfast. He and the family came to NY in 1811 spent a shot time in the Carolina's then stayed then in Alabama. the counties of Greene, Montgomery. George was a justice of the peace in Montgomery. After going to Alabama the family flew in all directions

My 5th g-grandmother on my maternal side was Sarah "Sally" Thompson. She was the daughter of David & Anna (Dabney) Thompson. She married Edward Elsey. My line in America was in Virginia/West Virginia.
