I am related to Merrill Thomas of Byron, ME - born in Norway, ME  Oct 10, 1812.  Merrill Thomas has two cemetary headstones. One is in Byron and one is in Andover, ME.  Next to his headstone in Andover, ME is a stone for Fred S. Thomas.  Am looking for information about Fred Thomas.

I'm researching the Thomas family from Columbia county Pennsylvania.  Right now I am looking for information on Joseph Thomas 1830 to 1865.  He died in the Civil War; he is buried in Hopewell VA.  He was married to Elizabeth Jane Savage; they may have lived in Luzerne county at some point.

Not sure if I'am doing things right or not but to Ms Stakes = Gregory Lee Thomas has his DNA recorded on myFTDNA. His email is listed there and he is haplogroup I2b1. The family tree is there back to Jefferson Davis Thomas. In Maine 1867. Then back to Tuffs Thomas on Gorham, Maine. He is a cousin to me from 6 or 7 generations ago. He has many cousins. The American. Line goes back to James Thomas who married Martha Goddard. Her father built mills in the 1500's in NH.

I am researching the Thomas Family starting with Francis Thomas (abt 1826-1864). Born in Wayne County, Michigan, died in the Civil War. About 1849, Francis married Julia (abt 1828-abt 1852) in Michigan and lived in St. Clair county.  They had two sons, George (b. 1850) and Alexander (1851-1923).  Thank you for any help.

Hi, I'm new here to the actual site, although I joined last year. My Thomas name originates in either Hungary, or presend day Romania, Szatmar County. The name was spelled "Tamas," with an accent over one of the letters. My grandfather was Frank or (Ferencz) Thomas (Tamas) and he lived in Hudson, (Columbia County) NY. Born in 1897 in Hungary or present day Romania, and died 1927 in Hudson, NY. I may have some relatives in California who contacted my now deceased grandmother sometime after leaving Hungary in or around 1956. Would love to hear from anyone who may be related. Thanks!
