Hi, I'm new here to the actual site, although I joined last year. My Thomas name originates in either Hungary, or presend day Romania, Szatmar County. The name was spelled "Tamas," with an accent over one of the letters. My grandfather was Frank or (Ferencz) Thomas (Tamas) and he lived in Hudson, (Columbia County) NY. Born in 1897 in Hungary or present day Romania, and died 1927 in Hudson, NY. I may have some relatives in California who contacted my now deceased grandmother sometime after leaving Hungary in or around 1956. Would love to hear from anyone who may be related. Thanks!

I am researching my son's family from Arkansas. George Lleeland Thomas and his ancestors. George Lleeland (Leeland) Thomas died in the early 1960's in Little Rock, Ark (Pulaski County). He married Margaret Reynolds and had 3 sons, George Jr, Gregory Lee Thomas and one other whose name now escapes me.

The youngest Thomas son and Gregory Lee Thomas are now deceased. Gregory was my sons father. I am trying to research blind and could use any help I can get. I have not had contact with the family in nearly 30 years.

Thanks so much!

My grandmother was Mary Myrtle Thomas Elder. There are many llines to the Thomas name that I'm just trying to find members of my line. She was descended from William Daniel Thomas and Etta May Gorrell. She had four surviving brothers: Fred, Saul, Walter and Archie. So maybe there are Thomases descended thru them. I would like to find out. The only brother I knew was Walter who had two sons: Walter, Jr., and Charles Bernard (Bernie). Thanks. Roberta

Hello everyone. I'm new to GW and I am researching Thomases in WV. Have traced to David Henry Thomas 1854-1928 but beyond that is speculation. Think father's name might be William Thomas. Looking forward to conversing with you all!
