My surnames are Gates, Hagerman, Justice, Coffman, Robinson, Woodward, Climer, Hanor, Archy, Barham.

Some allied families are Rice, Killingsworth, Lackey, McMillian, Sullivan.

I am seeking information on marriage of James Alexander Attaway and Sarah ? in about 1890 timeframe. They had several children but I believe she died about 1906_08. They lived in Chester, Madison, Henderson county areas. He was a son of William Robert Attaway and Elvira Preslar Attaway.

A before unknown cousin was located who is the great granddaughter of Henry Hale a brother to John Hale, my great grandfather. She stated that her mother (Mary Quinn) always told her and her brother they were not really Hale. They were AKERS. Her mother told them an Aker was adopted either by Henry Hale or his father John Hale, my great great grandfather.

Henry Hale, his brothers, Silas and Madison are shown in the 1860 census for Magoffin County, Ky and the 1870 census for Hawkins County, TN.

Would any one know of any Acker/Aker/Akers that was taken in by a Hale family? Thanks for any help.

I would like to exchange information with anyone researching the Aikman and Hicks families in Meigs CountyTennessee. I believe John L Aikman lived in Blount County at one time. George and Ira Aikman left Tennessee in the early 1900's and went to Oklahoma.

I am trying to find out about my GGGrandfather Jasper Atchley who was born in East Tennessee about 1825. I find no record of him till 1847 when he married Elizabeth Wells, also from East Tennessee. They were married in Madison County Alabama. I have found her lineage all the way back to England and France. I have reason to believe that Jasper's first name might have been James but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
