All I have to see is the name Tapp and I can tell this is a wonderful site!

I come from George Washington and Judith Bayse Tapp from Virginia. After G.W. Tapp died, Judith moved her family way out west -- to Illinois.

Her son, Bushrod Tapp, is my ancestor, through Joseph and Laura Swope Tapp, and then through Grace Elizabeth Tapp Wenkel.

My TAPP line was found at Bishops Nympton Devon and North Molton Devon). I have traced Elizabeth TAPP (daughter of John TAPP and Anne THOMAS married 29 Jun 1658 Bishops Nympton) who married John MANNING 28 April 1680 at Bishops Nympton. The parents of John TAPP (baptized 5 Sep 1624 North Molton Devon) were Roger TAPP and Margaret BURGES (marriage registration of John Tapp and Anne Thomas). Roger TAPP was baptized 5 Oct 1595 at North Molton and the son of John TAPP. Roger TAPP and Margaret BURGES were married 7 Aug 1623 North Molton Devon).
