There is a Johanna Johansdotter born at 6 May 1870 in Abild, Halland and emigrated 4th April 1885 to America. No other match.

The search was made in the CD Emibas on Johanna, born 187005 emigrated 1885.

This is the closest I could find for Stina... There were many more hits for Kristina, but none this close to 1897:

yes Ron I would be interested in anything I can learn. well someone from Sweden gave me the info on Anna Emelia as my Grandfathers sister. My Grandfather had older sisters. He left Sweden in at 19. There was another sister born after him her name was Stina Carlsdotter b 1897 . So I'm not really sure if Anna Emelia is related to me. Although I don't know the names of the older sisters.

Cynde: No trace of any Johansson, but Carl Johan's father might had that name. It didn't go to father to son as Patrynomicon is used by this time in Sweden. Please check out Hans Högman's Genealogy in Sweden to find out more about swedish genealogy.

The info I gave you about the family is of Census 1900, I can also make a look in 1890 but if there is siblings born after 1900 I can't find them in the sources other then as Ron's source of a database Disbyt, if someone have made a contribution to it.

Hi, Cynde...

I can give you some folks (from DISBYTE database) to email who have Johan Malkus & Anna Emelia in their lineage. Let me know.

Ron
