The picture is of St Michael's church, Yorktown, Surrey. It must have been taken before 1930 when the road in the right hand corner foreground was lowered some ten to fifteen feet to level the hill making it safer for the growing number of motor vehicles!!

Dear Helen Pust.
IOW records have been indexed by the IOW Family History Society. They are wonderful records and you can search nine years at a time. The birth records show mothers maiden name. Marriage records show both parties. Death records show age of deceased.
They all start in 1837 and go to 2000 at least.
Best wishes.

Can anyone help me find an address of 1900-1919 in Redhill? Myself and a young computer wiz I know has been trying for some time. It's the address of my grandfathers sister, Mrs. Gobell or Gobill. She lived at 23 Lambert's Cottage, Kings Avenue, Redhill, Surrey. His father's , James Louder, address was 19 Grove Road, Redhill. There is also printed "St. John's" slightly to the right and in between the 2 addresses. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
