I am researching the Alfred Franklin Stone family from the Mississippi area. He married Nancy Tennessee Price. They are my g-g grandparents on my dad's side. My great grandfather's name is Henry Edward Stone who married Tennessee Ann Wardlaw. My grandmother's maiden name was Minne Ora Stone who married Emery Alvin Byerly. I have found a link that states Alfred's parent were Samuel and Nancy Stone, but I have not been able to document that.I would appreciate any information that you could give me on this line.

My Stone(s) family emigrated to Canada from Lincolnshire, UK in the 1850's. Is anyone else searching for Lincolnshire Stones?

I have been researching the John L. Stone family of Chatham Co.,NC. In the 1860 census he is listed as being 42 years of age, living with his 2nd wife, Rebecca Bolling and his 5 children, William Francis, Martha Susanna, Frances Robertson, James Tapley, and John. James Tapley and John were twins. James Tapley was my paternal GGrandfather. He was blinded when he was about 5. I cannot find any info beyond John L.Stone. I believe his father may have been Francis Stone, but I am not sure. John L.'s first wife was Eliza Clark. She was the mother of the first 3 children. I would love to hear from anyone who can tell me anything about this family.
