Family Search Record Search- Pilot Site Has lots of useful things, but especially copies of death certificates, they are searchable by parents names, so you can find those women that you didn't know the married names of, and children you never knew that they had because they died young and didn't appear in a census.

Well, my Colemans were all over VA, but the first one, Robert Coleman Sr. born 1619 in , Essex, England died in Tindalls Point, Gloucester, VA in 1689. Then there were later Colemans in Abingdon Parish, Glouster Co., and Berkley Parish, Spotsylvania Co, and Farnham Parish, Essex Co, VA. By the way, that first Robert Coleman Sr was married to Elizabeth Grizzell. I don't think I have yet seen the name Slaughter in my tree, but I will look again.

Hi, I'm new here. My names in Stark County are Miller and Koch.

Christine ... where in Virginia? Mine are so elusive that I cannot pinpoint them. I am quite sure that they tie in somehow to the Slaughter family of Virginia.

My branch of the Colemans were from Virginia too! (Before Indiana and Missouri)

Hey Ruby! My maiden name is Coleman (of the Pike & Putnam Co, IN Colemans). Are you related to any Missouri Colemans, by any chance?

I am researching the surname Christen in Stark Co., Ohio. Gottlieb Christen (1835-1876), son of Jakob Christen and Elizabeth Seylaz of Twann, Bern, Switzerland. For a while Rudolph Mauer (Maurer) and wife Mary/Maria Christen (sister to Gottlieb) lived in Stark Co., OH. Their daughter Mary (1850-1916) married John Hahlen; both buried in the Alliance Cemetery, Alliance, Stark Co., Ohio.

Helping Baer niece husband's family--proving old family "histories". Into the search, like all, for Andrew Whisler's wife Catherine's maiden name. Trees + Susanna Koontz' d.cert. says "HE___"
