My Solt family is from Pennsylvania. Mostly from the Carbon County, Lehigh County, and Northampton County areas. My first SOLT is Johann Nicholas who was born in 1722 in Germany and immigrated to the US in 1749.

Where is your Solt family from and how far back do you go?
Any relations to Solt family of the Philadelphia area?
I have not made a connection to the american Solt's yet.
My mother's line of van Soldt/Solt/Sold goes back to Belgium in 1400's.
We are having a great discussion in the Soule and Sol groups which may or may not be related, but could help someone understand the variants in there Solt research.
