My brick wall is:

William Snider

Birth:     unknown

Death:   1799

Loudoun County, Virginia, USA

In 1783, William Snider signed a lease for a farm in Loudoun county, Virginia. William Snider appeared on several Militia / Tax lists with sons, William Jr., Henry, and Jacob. Some sons appeared on the tax list when they became age 16. But Jacob did not appear for several years and then appeared in 1799, living with Methodist circuit preacher, John Littlejohn. In 1799, Jacob was fined for failing to report to militia, but then the fine was reversed. In 1799 William's estate mentioned wife, Catherine, sons, William, Henry, Jacob, and Peter and daughter, Elizabeth Shry.

Spouse:

  Catherine Snider

 Children:

Elizabeth Snider Shry* (may have married Mathew Shry, who died. and then, later, Richard Kisby)

  William Snider (1773 - 1825)*

  Henry Snider (1774 - 1832)*

  Jacob Snider (1779 - 1840)*

  Peter Snider (1784 - 1824)*

Looking for parents of Jacob Snider, who lived in Madison County, Ohio.  He was born about 1805 (some say Germany, but not too sure).  Jacob married May 1833 in Franklin, Ohio to Christiana MNU (Arrow, Norris, Arres).

I am a descendant of a George Snider. He is the son of John Snider & Experience Bailey. I believe John was born in Pennbsylvania, Experience in New Jersey or New York, and their children were born in New York. They immigrated to Wisconsin around 1840.
