"Dr." Henry Propst. Sr., "Hessian" Army medic, from Bad Gandershiem (medical springs?), Germany, to Concord, N.C., DAR Patriot. Age 55, "Went over to the enemy (Patriots)"; alledgedly a prisoner of war on a German/American farm in the Shenandoah Valley. Read that at Jefferson's "Monticelo" (spelling?), Jefferson like to dine with his German RW PW's. Does anyone know anything abour RW German PW's in the valley? Astride his horse on medical call, Cabarrus County, N.C., "Dr." Propst was alledgedly killed by lightening. His saddle and horse carried medical bags survive. Jim Miller, Southport, N.C. Were there "medical springs" in the valley in RW days? Lastly: I wish once cadets and their kin of defunct valley Millitary Academies (Staunton, Augusta, others?), would get FMS in Waynesboro to move it's alumni office into it's Waynesboro, old Carnegie Library; and at modest cost, let defunct valley military school alumni associations, use other offices in the same building.

Susan, I have been unsuccessful in trying to get my cousins to participate in the DNA testing. At the present time my only brother is unemployed and cannot afford the fee and since my hubby and I are in the same boat we cannot help him. If you want to exchange anything else on the Huffmans my email is:eblevins@neo.rr.com. The Huffmans are on my dad side. My sister started the research and I was left to continue it after she passed away in 2006. No one wants to help but they all want copies when I get it completed.

Trying to work on my mother's side, since she has Alzheimers (in the early stages) and I just about have everything in the way of documentation for my DAR application. Still need one military record.

Betty have you done Ydna. Your names are all over mine and dates etc. I do not have Berks Co PA data but I know that they may have been in Philadelphia as three brothers early prior to splitting up to earn money to send to Germany.

John, Henry and George were siblings and if what I read at library is true yesterday Rudolph is going to relate as a cousin. 40+ years research and finally fell across some documents that imply the linkage. SusiCP@cox.net

BettyJo mine are on my site here or at least part of them are.
I have JOhn to John(VA) to Henry b 1740's Maryland/VA to Henry b 1803 in PA, to Sanford, to Franklin to Cecil Lee to MOM to me. We know Rudolph was related we just not sure where ties are. We suspect but are not able to prove at least yet we may be from one more back JOhn of Germanna.
Names proven linked are John had: John, George, Henry, Mary, Elizabeth, and we have potential for 4 more sisters and two more brothers. Rudolph, Phillip,
are both hi on the list. The evidence is not that strong yet but documentation has been found to link them. Some went to KY some OH some PA some stayed VA and scattered to WVA etc..SusiCP@aol.com
