I am looking for any info on William Thomas Snodgrass born 1873 to Alexander and Martha May Snodgrass. He was born in Tennessee and moved to Texas around 1876-7. His father passed and Martha married Lafayette Gray in Sherman. She passed in 1896 due to Sherman's Black Friday Cyclone.

He changed his name for some reason after 1920 and before 1924 when he married my grandmother.

I have joined both groups, but I don't know whether there are any differences between the 2 groups. My first cousin has been tested by Family Tree DNA, but there are so few participants in the Snodgrass DNA Project so far that it really didn't help us much. We are descendants of William Snodgrass of Monongalia Co., VA (now WV). It would be great for more Snodgrass males to have their DNA tested.  Kathryn Schultz, Germantown, TN
