I have traced my McNew family back to Scotland. The first McNew I can find is Jeremiah. I would love to talk to others with McNews in their family.

McNew seems to have died out in Scotland.I have found a Mary Mcnew born 26/12/1719 daughter of John McNew and Margaret Crerar Kinmore parish Perth
Also William born 22/06/1738 son of James McNew Kirriemuir Angus Have you looked in "Scotlands People"website,It is a pay to view site but very reasonable. Jim Hart

No, I have not checked that website but it sounds very interesting. I will check out the price and see if I can do it. I am sorry to hear that the McNews have died out in Scotland. I suppose they had to immigrate because of economic conditions. Thanks for replying to my discussion. Are you living in Scotland? It looks from the pictures I have seen to be quite beautiful.
