Clinton A. RICE, James RICE Jane IRWIN/ERWIN

I am a descendant of Robert IRWIN/ERWIN from SC born abt. 1769, he married a Sarah unk. Through this marriage they had several children one of which is Jane.

Jane according to some information I have, married a James RICE, but the only Jane married to James RICE living in Anderson Co. TX. is not the family I am looking for, she is a Jane SMITH and not IRWIN/ERWIN.

In researching I found Robert IRWIN and wife Sarah in Teneha, Shelby Co. TX on the 1835 census and two of the daughters were not living at home, so I gathered they were married before 1835, they are Jane and Margaret.

I found a Jane and a Clinton A. RICE in Shelby Co. also and later in 1850 in Houston Co. TX. They were heirs to land after the death of Robert IRWIN/ERWIN. The data I was working from was wrote by a former research angel who is no longer with us and so far I found two possible errors in her data.

To get my tree as correct as I can, I need to find Jane IRWIN/ERWIN and which RICE, James or Clinton A she married, so far I am leaning towards Clintion RICE.

I'm hoping someone can help with this puzzle. Maybe they are in your tree also.

Jane is my GG-grand Aunt and either James or Clinton is my GG-grandUncle, she was born about 1810 in SC or TN and lived in TX.
