Quinte Branch (Ontario Genealogical Society)

Quinte Branch is a branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) covering the Bay of Quinte area that includes Hastings and Prince Edward Counties and surrounding areas in Ontario, Canada. Our almost 300 members include those who have roots in the Bay of Quinte area and those who live locally with roots elsewhere.

Quinte OGS is a non-profit organization with three major goals:
– to encourage participation in genealogical activities
– to assemble and preserve family histories and research material;
– to assist family history researchers at the branch library and by correspondence.

Quinte Branch OGS had their very first virtual meeting on June 20, 2020: "Researching Quakers in Upper Canada" by Randy Saylor. He highlighted Quakers who came from New York state to Ontario. There were many good resources suggested and a really good explanation of the Quaker meetings and how they were organized. It is worth checking out.
