Parsons of Somerset County Maryland

I've initiated this group to share information on the Parsons Families of the Eastern shores of Maryland and Virginia.

I've traced my Parsons line back to Peter Parsons who immigrated to Maryland in 1672. He landed in Somerset County, Maryland where he patented his first piece of land.

Peter is my "Brick Wall". I cannot get passed him and cross the Atlantic Ocean. Family verbal histories state that he was from England. I've recently taken a DNA test which points to Scottish origins, or at least a Scottish offshoot of the Parsons line some 500-600 years ago.

If you ahve any Parsons ancestors from this area I'd be interested in hearing about them.
