I'm still looking fro the parents of Ancil Overlin. Recently I found a person who stated that Eli Overlin's children were Elizabeth and William. If this is true Eli is not Ancil's father. After 15 years I still need help.

Seems like there are lots of Overlins in Idaho. At one time I corresponded with Fern Overlin Henderson. Are you related to her?

Brant was an Indian who married Minerva Overlin.

Are you on Facebook? If you are Friend me, it would be easier to correspond there. I am the only Eileen Overlin in the world. My pic is bright red and orange.

There are some Overlins in Kentucky. Do you have a copy on the Brant-Overlin Saga.? We bought one on ebay. The book didn't help me but is interesting.

Hi Paul,

I think all Overlins in our country are related. My husband's line to Ancil are:  Lynn, Leslie, Tapley, Harry and Ancil. I have suspected Overlin wasn't their name but not sure what it really was. Census says there are about 230 Overlins in the country. We all live in Kansas. Ancil came to Kansas from Kentucky by way of Missouri.

Hi Eileen, glad to meet you. I do have papers that take it clear back to William Overlin, he came from England back in the 1700's. I tried looking through the papers I have on the name you are looking for but haven't found it yet. William was the first one...I think. When he came here from England he changed his name to Overlin, it may have been Oberlin before he came here to the US.
