Elaine, you say you are looking for a 1922 marriage record. Can you give us the bride and groom's names and ages? Perhaps the group can help find them!

It is possible the marriage was not registered, but there should at the least be a church record. Catholic events were often not sent on to be registered - was it a Catholic wedding?

I tend to describe my family as very North American. The Hillmans today are a mixture of English(Hillman), Scottish(May, McKay, Turner, Steele), Cornish(Thomas), and Mennonite(Shoemaker). We can be found in Elgin County, Middlesex County(London& Mos township), Lambton County, Sanilac County in Michigan. Ancestors have come from England, Scotland, Switzerland, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

I have three Canadian born ancestors all born in Ontario - my mother, her father and his mother in the London, Ontario area. My surnames of interest: ROUTLEDGE, GRAY, PINCOMBE, BULLER and BLAKE. All the rest of my ancestors were born in England. I have quite a bit of information on these families including their ancestral locations and their migration stories.

My great grandfather John was born in Puslinch Twp., Wellington Co, Ontario in 1853 to Duncan McNabb and Hannah Cameron. I cannot trace Duncan further back, but Hannah was the daughter of "Castle" John Cameron and Annabelle McLennan who came from Ullapool, Ross-shire Scotland. John came to Michigan in 1879. I wish to find out more about these families.

My grandfather's family was from Ontario. I'm researching SUCKLING, STULL, ROGERS, WHITMORE, SERVOS in the Niagara region. I'm also searching for FARRELL in Perth county.

My husband's grandparents were married at St. Hugue's parish in Sarsfield, Cumberland Twp. Ontario in June 1922. At the time it was Russell county. I have looked at the parish records on microfilm about 20 years ago at a FHC, and have searched Ancestry.com, but no official record of the marriage seems to exist. Before he died, grandfather's youngest brother told me he remembered attending the wedding. He would have been 8 yrs old at the time. How is it possible for there not to be a record? Are there any other resources?

Brenda, they might have moved to Sarnia. It's near Windsor and my husband's famly was also related to them.
