I am researching several families that lived in Hants County, Nova Scotia.  Surnames include Carmichael, Deal, McCann, Sherman, Smith and Wile.  I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and am fortunate that I can visit the Nova Scotia Archives regularly.  My kitty, Skittles, allows me to be her roommate and helps me with my research by sitting on my papers.

Merritt, Westcott, Carpenter, Balcom, in Digby and Annapolis Counties Nova Scotia. I am researching the descendants and peripheral family lines of John Merritt UE and his wife Lucy. She was possibly the daughter of Silas Balcom and Susan Smith. Also the family of Thomas Westcott and Chloe Carpenter whose son Thomas Jr. and daughter Lucy married sister and brother, Sarah and Gilbert Merritt. Have been researching these families for many years and have recently found more records. Would love to find out more.
