Gro Ingeborg Fadnes married my 7C4R, Torgeir Arne Langhelle b. in 1944.

Brita Jacobsdatter Fadnes b. 30 Oct 1867 married my 2C3R, Lars Olson Dyvik.

Jakob Olson Fadnes is Brita's father (1845-1910).

Roberta, thanks for the translation.

How are you connected to the Fadness's? My most recent Fadness ancestors were Gullick Fadness and Marta (Kjenes) Fadness, both born in Norway but immigrated to the States, to Wisconsin. Their daughter Ingeborg married my 3rd great grandfather Andrew Olson.

Brandt, I don't know what Tlör is but "til verden den" means "to the earth on"

so the date that follows is probably a birth date.

Also, I have three Fadnes folks in my database: Jakob Olsen (1845-1910) died in Voss, his daughter, Brita Jacobsdatter (30 Oct 1867 at Fadnes in Evanger (Voss prestegield, and died 10 Jan 1941 at Dyvik is Stamnes.  She was buried 17 FEb 1941 at Stamnes Kyrkje (Vaksdal) in Hordaland. She was married to Lars Olson Dyvik (my 2C3R) b. 31 Jul 1857 & died 22Sep 1944 at Dyvik.  ALso buried at Stamnes Kyrkje on 30 Sep 1944. Here is a picture of their tombstone:

The third one is Gro Ingeborg Fadnes (married to my 7C4R) Torgeir Arne Langhelle, b. in 1944. I don't have any other info on them.

Can anyone help me translate a page apparently taken from a family bible? I think this is a record of births. After each name, it says "Tlör til verden den" and then gives a date. What does this mean?

I have ancestors from the Eige (or Eike) farm in Rogaland, somewhere near Stavanger. If anyone happens to have any information about this area, I'd be interested to learn more.

Struggling with my Jelleberg line. They lived in Idaho but I just can't find them anywhere else and everyone is dead who might have any knowledge.

No "bygdeboeker" have so far been published covering that area of Ryfylke/Rogaland County.

I am looking for my family in the Bygdeboker for Imsland/Torsteinbu area of Rogaland. Does any one have a copy for that area? Thank you.
