KNIGHT; PERRIS, GOSLING, NETHWAY of Yatton & Kenn, North Somerset
My KNIGHT family came from Horsecastle, Yatton, at that time,not a particularly wealthy area of the town, I believe.They were related, more intertwined, to the families of PERRIS, NETHWAY GOSLING and STOCK of Walton in Gardano. The surname PAYNE is at present of interest to me. My Eliza Jane PERRIS married Thomas PAYNE.
The KNIGHT, PERRIS and STOCK families left Yatton for the coalfields of the Rhondda Valley, Glamorgan. This is where they lived out the remainder of their lives. If they hadn't already married, they often married Welsh girls. I am a direct descendant of one Henry Knight born Yatton in 1852.
