I am researching Powers, Whitcomb, Keyes, Wheat, Ball, Nevins, Willoughby and Rhoades, mostly in Hillsborough and Grafton counties in the 1700's. My 7th great grandfather, Captain Peter Powers was the first permanent settler in Hollis. Gene, thanks so much for posting the link to The State and Provincial Papers of New Hampshire I had never seen the site before. I now know where I will be spending the next few days (weeks)!

GeneJ... Thanks for the link for the Provinicial Papers, I had forgotten about them. Not anymore... I downloaded them all this time. Your mention of Grafton County deeds without a link made me go looking for them, and I stumbled on the fact that several counties have their deed information online. I'm going to setup a discussion on deeds, as I would like some further information if you have it. BTW... to access all of the deeds everyone, use this link: http://www.nhdeeds.com/

Ditto that! The State Papers collection has been invaluable to me.
My ancestors go back to the first settlers on the seacoast and Pisquataqua region- Batchelder, Sanborn, Wilkinson, Nason, Locke, Odiorne, Thompson, etc.

I research Partridge's throughout the country, but my own family descends from Croydon, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, where they resided for several generations.

Partridge's in general were present in the following townships at various times during the 1600's-1900's: Alstead, Canaan, Chesterfield, Claremont, Concord, Contoocook, Croydon, Derry, Dublin, Hampton, Hanover, Haverhill, Holderness, Hopkinton, Keene, Littleton, Lyman, Manchester, Marlborough, Meridith, Nashua, New Alstead, Newport, North Haverhill, North Stratford, Orford, Portsmouth, Stratford, Swansea, Troy, Walpole, West Concord, Winchester.
