Thanks for GeneJ for introducing me to these records online. It appears that all but Carroll County in New Hampshire have put their early deed records online. Because they're not the easiest thing to search through and find records on, I thought I'd open a thread up concerning these records, and maybe Gene can jump in here, since he's more familiar with the records. Just so everyone knows the following are the years available for each county:

First, technical requirements... You must have java on to make any of these sites work.

Belknap County:
1841-1954 Indexed
1955-2009 Searchable

Cheshire County:
1970-1979 Indexed
1975-2009 Searchable

Coos County:
1982-2009 Searchable

Grafton County:
1945-1959 The Hard Way
1960-2009 Indexed

Hillsborough County:
1900-1965 The Hard Way
1966-2009 Searchable

Merrimack County*:
1955-2009 Free Search (must pay to view images)

Rockingham County:
1643-2009 Searchable (images available for 1883 forward)

Strafford County:
1931-2009 Searchable (images available for 1966 forward)

Sullivan County: 1827-

* Requires Registration

Enjoy!

It is all just so wonderful! Thank you.--GJ
Hi Dennis,
About your entry for Grafton county, the earlier deed books are on line. The early books are not, to use your term, "searchable" and the indexes are not posted on line. You can, however, pull them up by book and page number. Once you have pulled up the book, you can skip to other pages or page through the deed entries.

When I worked with the online access last year, the early deed books for Grafton County were accessed as the "9000" series, so that early deed book 1 was actually 9001; deed book 45 was entered as 9045.

Hope this helps. --GJ
