I have a Francis Johnson Dover 1760 N.C. that married a Mullinax. They lived in Habersham, Ga. He was a son of Zephaniah Dover, from which my Dover line originates then through the John Dovers to Perry Dover and his daughter Ovella, my Grandmother. While I have bits and pieces of info on the Georgia Dovers it isn't very much. I do know that some of the Dovers migrated to Georgia along with other allied families; Hardin, Moss, Mullinax to name a few. Perry and his brother Felix H. Dover migrated into Florida around 1911 from South Carolina and settled in the town of Hampton. Would be happy to share anything I may be able to help you with.

Hi ,
At this point it's a bit hard to determine. I know some are from Irwin Co. Georgia with a possibility of Gilmer Co. also but Gilmer has not been proven, at least by me. I noticed you were also researching Dover. Would these possibly be from South Carolina?
