Kathleen ... Basset is in Rock Co., Nebraska. Check out the Rock Co. web page on USGenWeb http://www.usgenweb.org/ne and then scroll down to Rock Co. They have a lot of good information especially cemeteries. If they remained in Rock Co. and went to school there you may be able to locate school records either online or through the Rock County Courthouse. These can be very helpful. They will also show up on the 1900 US Census in case you have not checked that.

Hi Kathleen ... do you have a location here in Nebraska for Adelia and Mary?

My wife's family passed thru Stella, NE where some of them are buried in the local cemetery. The family names were Mourer, Logan, Mohr and Pugh. We have a copy of a soft cover book called "THE SOUVENIR STELLA PRESS" which is a typical book full of bios of various local families at the time the book was published April 1, 1901. I can/will do look ups for members of this site who had relatives in the Stella, NE area in the very early 1900s and want to see if their relative is mentioned in the book.

This is great news. It has been a long time in the process of trying to get the cemetery records open to the public. Thanks for sharing.
