After Oscar's death in the early 1900's, Frances followed her children to the town of Orting, Washington, and lived there for the last several years of her life, going between the homes of her children and the Orting Soldier's Home and Colony, serving US Veterans and widows. She is buried in the Soldier's Home Cemetery. Oscar is buried in Richland, Nebraska.
