My 2nd great grandfather, Timothy Nally, came to the United States from Ireland in about 1861. He married Bridget Corcoran in Connecticut. Family stories and Timothy's obituary state that he was from County Clare, Ireland. His wife, Bridget Corcoran, was from County Longford. Timothy Nally was born about 1839 in Ireland and died in 1922 in Ogle County, Illinois.

My Nally family came from Muckrussaun, County Mayo, Ireland and immigrated to American and settled in Pennsylvania.

My g grandmother was Mary Nally Browne , born about 1867 and died in 1940. Her father was James Nally , a farmer of Muckrussaun, County Mayo (dates unknown). In addition to Mary, James Nally had at least four other children of whom I know: Katie Nally , Michael Nally (b: between 1865 - 1869), Patrick Nally, and Bridget "Delia" Nally(b. abt. 1886).

Mary married John Browne of Caherduff, Cong, County Mayo in 1891 at the Chapel of the Neale. Katie Nally , born abt, 1860, joined the community of the Sister of Charity of Leavenworth and went to America. Patrick, born abt. 1861, is found in the 1901 census in Muckrussaun - a widower - living with his children Bridget (15 yrs), Mary (13), Patrick (12), Kate ( 10), Annie (8), Sarah (6) and his widowed mother Mary (70).

Michael went to America. He married Marie (maiden name unknown), and they had five children of whom I know: Thomas (b: in 1892 in Mass), Mary (b. 1895 in Pittsburgh), Joseph (b. 1897 In Pittsburgh), John (b. 1901 in Pittsburgh) and George (b. 1901 in Pittsburgh)

The only Nally sibling in Pittsburgh I've been able to trace is Joseph. He married Florence Conlin (b. 1897 in Pittsburgh). They had eight children: Imelda (b. 1917), Howard (b. 1918), James (b. 1920), Manilla (sp.? b. 1921), Lawrence or Larry (b. 1923; died in WWII), Paul (b. 1924), Patrina or Patricia (b. 11926) and Alice (b. 1928).

Bridget"Delia" Nally married Arthur Lavery sometime after 1904 in America. Bridget appears in the US 1920 Federal Census, living in Philadelphia. Her children are Mary R. Lavery (b. 1925), James P. (b. 1926), Anna V. (b. 1918). Kathryn or Catherine R. (b. 1919), Joseph H. (b. 1923), Elizabeth C. (b. 1925), and Theresa A. (b. 1927 0r 1928).

I am seeking information on any of the descendants of Michael Nally, Joseph Nally, or Bridget Nally Lavery.

Martin NALLY was my great grand father. He married Elizabeth KIERNAN. They had four children: Thomas (1932), John (Jack) (1924), Robert (1928), Richard (1930).

John NALLY married Kathryn PLUNKETT. They had six children: Joseph, Vincent (1917), Paul (1918), Bernard, Helen, Catherine.

Robert NALLY was killed in France in WWI

Leona NALLY married David FLANNERY. They had five children: Francis (1927), Robert, James, David, Richard.

Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

John Nall(e)y, b. 1824 in Kentucky, m. Geneva Evans. John's father may have been William Nall(e)y, b. @1780 in Virginia, possibly married to Sarah Holston/Holstein, b. @1794 in Virginia.

John & Geneva lived in Warrick County, Indiana from 1850 to the late 1880s.
