Hi Jean Marie and welcome to the group!  I don't have any info on the family you are researching but hopefully someone else here will be able to pitch in to help. Did you also try posting to the Blake surname, and Canada and PA locales?

I am researching the family of Anne Murray and John Blake.  They lived in Canada.  Their grandson John Murray Blake moved to Pennsylvania where my grandfather was born,  The Murray name was passed on through the family as a middle name for all of the males including my father John Murray Blake. There was one in every generation that I have come across.

I am researching the descendants of Thomas Murney and some of his family changed their last name to Murray, I've heard. Most of the changers moved to Kearney New Jersey I have also heard. Anyone with information on this family is welcome to contact me.

I'm a real amateur. I'm looking for Murrays who emigrated from Scotland (Glasgow) to Canada and/or the US about 1840-50. They settled on both sides of the St. Lawrence River, in a radius of about 40 miles from Ogdensburg NY.
