Would like to find William Herron and Rebecca Youst who lived in West Virginia in early 1900's. I believe he lived near New Martibsville. His daughter Sarah Herron married Reason "Reeves" Fluhartymy grandfather, I have only a possible birth year for William Herron 1839 in Kentucky and died ?. Know his children names and place of birth but them the trail goes cold. Checked old newspapers but still have no leads. Checked state and local records still no leads. I have included WM Herron Family History file.

Hi Sheila-
thank you for sharing the family file with us. :)
I'm wondering if you know if William served in the Civil War? There are some William Herrons who served in KY and some who served in VA.

I found a William Herrin in Franklin, KY on the 1850 census, father was John? This William was born in 1839.

Do you know where William and Rebecca married? My guess would be Virginia?

I'll do some more searching tomorrow for you. :)
If he did it would have been in Va , I know that my family said he moved to Va which is know WVA around the time WVA became a state. My father says that he has Indian blood in that line he was told by my Grandmother. I think Tyler county formed Wetzel County. My Grandmother lived In Piney when my father was born I have a feeling that maybe some from that family still live there.
One more note, I found a death date for john B. Herron on the Family Search Record Search of March 11, 1938, buried March 13, 1938, in Morgansville, Doddridge, WV. Birthdate was Dec 11, 1860, parents William and Rebecca Youst Herron.

Also found an Angenora(Nora?) Catlett born May 8, 1875 to William and Rebecca and died April 10, 1921. Born in Whetzel county. She was buried at Portes Falls, West Virginia.
