This is what I know
since posting this I have discovered that Benjamin's middle name is not Franklin. It is shown as the letter "E" only on the Cooke county tax rolls, the headstone of an infant son, and a family bible that was located. Benjamin E. Scarce is the correct name. Also a letter was found by a cousin also researching that Benjamin is buried in Collinsville, and Elizabeth his wife is buried in the Miller cemetery in Woodbine Tx. even though there is no marker. This information was written by the daughter in law of Benjamin Scarce in 1982. Willie Scarce wife of Ben E. Scarce's son Benjamin Franklin Scarce. She also states that he was a blacksmith and that he had a twin. it doesn't specify if this twin was a boy or a girl or if they lived or died at birth.
