I would like to welcome you to the Morrison board,  My aim is that we try and work as a team and get all the jigsaw pieces together and hopefully complete the puzzle to who is who within the Morrison clan,
Reaching out to other descendants of the Morrison's to share and gather information is also a priority to this group, So for that reason I have made it a public board. The Morrison's have left behind a wealth of information and have a very interesting history, I hope this discussion board will become a rewarding and positive experience to those who contribute to it,

Newspaper article, THE LANDMARK, Statesville, Iredell County, N.C., February 27, 1906, im4, reads:

The late Mrs W S Phifer entered into rest at her home in Statesville on the 15th(?). In her last conscious moments she suddenly roused from a fitful
slumber and sang feebly but clearly, the old hymn, learned long ago in childhood, "I want to be with Jesus". The following lines commemorate the
I want to be with Jesus
I've felt His love and grace
So lovingly enfold me -
But oh to see His face!
I never would be weary
I've labored here so long
I've grown so tired and footsore
Oh to be light and strong

I have added the Newspaper transcription and her photo to the board out of admiration, because if she was granted the strength to do that with her last breath after suffering with ill health for so long, We too can gain the strength to untangle the Morrison clan, Cheers Ellie
