I am trying to find more information on the last name Hill. My grandpa grew up in a small town in MT called Nashua. I know that his dads name was Byron Hill. Anyone out there by chance know anything?

My GGF was William A. MARBLE born in Hastings, Michigan. I believe he and wife Uretta lived in Montana in the 1920's. Uretta moved to CA as a widow in 1928. Could someone help me to find William.

I have lots of Montana roots - I was born there, as were several generations of my family. My Montana families include:
John Gibson and Catherine Cain and their children - Thomas, David, Anna, and John Frederick (Fred)
Samuel Joseph and his kids - Olga, Lydia, Augusta (who married Fred Gibson), Elmer, and Pat
Ernest Craddock and Philena Beilstein and their kids - Elsie, Grace, Edna, and
Frank Harris and Charlotte Scribner and their kids - James, Charlotte, Harold, Percy, and others
Tom Bergstad and Sally Harris and their kids - Kathy, Bill and Laurie
Mary Sitzman and her kids - Rosie and Mary
Most of these families lived in Silver Bow and Deer Lodge counties, with the Harrises in Ravalli county.

Greetings! I am looking for decendants of William Wesley Botkin (1820-1876) born in Ohio, died in Illinois. He married Susannah A Simmons in December, 1840. They were the parents of my gg-grandfather, Luther, born in Honeybend, IL in 1867. Luther married Bessie E Fiser, (see the Fiser Group), and then later Carrie Jewells. Luther moved to the Charo, Montana area around the age of 19 and died in Montana in 1935. His widow was listed as Carrie. Anybody? Thanks!

By the way, Jennifer, I have relatives named Hills (not Hill) that lived in Montana as well.

The Murray family has a lot of history in Montana. My grandparents settled in the Coffee Creek area about 1910. They left around 1930 but a lot of their family members stayed. Would like to talk to any of the Murrays that stuck around.
