Here, again, we diverge a bit. I descend from Hamelin's son William de Warrene. My line is as follows:

William de Warrene
John de Warrene
Alice de Warrene
Richard Fitzalan, 9th Earl of Arundel

The rest is as above. You and I also diverge going the other direction, as my line of descent comes from Hamelin's wife, Isabel de Warrene. So, it looks like we share only Hamelin, himself, at that point.

Thanks, Jim. I wasn't sure which of us was correct. As I stated earlier, my sources are all online, various sites, including the LDS' Family Search site, as well as Rootsweb's World Connect Family Trees. I wouldn't know where else to look except at original manuscripts held in the UK, which I cannot have access to.

Here is more on the CHAWORTH family from various sources of which there are numerous variations of the genealogy of this family just on this one line (and by the same token variations on other branches). I am interested in any comments or corrections for the following, especially where there is some article or publication that addresses the variations & can give an accurate genealogy. As you can see I have made comments primarily based on a posting by John P. Ravilious (see below) in the gen. soc. medieval mailing list. Thanks for any leads, Jim.
