Anyone connect to these two names, from Ontario Canada and Winebago Co., Illinois.   I am excited that I just found pictures of some of their headstones in the Rockford, Il area cemetery. Continue

I have come to a dead end with David McNeal m. Irena Ayer. I cannot find any info about his parents. He was b. 1801, VT and d. 1855 WI. If anyone can help with this info, I would deeply appreciate it.

Ours spelled it McNeil, but there is no group spelled that way. Sometimes in Amite Co. MS. records, Daniel McNeil's name was spelled as McNeal. He had come to Mississippi by early 1814, when he married Rebecca Randall. He was supposed to have been born in Georgia in 1791, but we don't yet know where or who his parents were. We think they had come to Georgia from North Carolina, as there were so many McNeils in early North Carolina.

Comment by LuRose Williams 2 hours ago Delete Comment I am searching for MacNeil from Barra, R1b1b2. I have had a DNA test to prove the Williams line and,,,,I come from MacNeil instead. The Williams was to have came from Ayrshire to US in 1700.

I also have the mtDNA of my mother, who we have always thought to be Jeremiah Bell Howell only child, instead, Jeremiah turns out to be a Bell.

If this sounds familiar, please contact me..
Thanks..
LuRose.
