All with the Surname Maxey, most of us have been descendants of Edward Maxey, Sr and Susannah Gates of Virginia ... lets go up and down the ladder and a little sideways here!
My dad did most of the family research on his line (Salle-Sallee) and of course the many ties to the families in Manakintown and in France where many of them originated.
My connecting point to the Maxey family is through Jemima Maxey, w/o Joseph Albertus Sallee, who is the daughter of William Maxey, son of Edward Maxey Jr./Susannah, son of Edward Maxey Sr and Elizabeth Woodhouse. Joseph A. Sallee Jr. named one of his sons Edward Maxey Sallee (my g-g-grandfather) and my line continues down through him. That particular line seemed to settle in IN and KY. One thing I like to do is research the oft neglected female lines, but usually have a lot of trouble with that.

By the way, it is in mint condition and even had my parents in it, which I did not expect.

Juanita Maxey has contacted me at home. She has some beautiful letters and such from the Edward, William, William Maxey descendants.

That is fantastic! I have seen the graves listed and thought oh there it is ...and it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I have tried to find William (our William's) grave which is surely in Warren County near Edward's land somewhere. I think the Maxey Cemetery and the White Family Cemetery may be interchangeable and called something else. I have not located John's Grave but I have his sons William, wife Malinda Cherry, son Andrew Jackson and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Wilson Maxey, several of their still born children, and I believe some cousins and such and another son of William and Malinda and possibly a few daughters and their families around Lynville, Indiana. I have some pictures I will have to see if I can figure out how to post here.
