Looking for Samuel Martin b Nov 1798 in VA. Later to Greenbrier Co., VA/WV where the family has been for 200 yrs. Samuel was probably the son of Robert Martin and Mary Craig who left Augusta Co., VA and settled in Nicholas Co., VA/WV about 1803. I have Samuel and his kids, grandkids, etc well documented, so I'm looking for anyone that descends from this family and any info on Samuel before 1820.

Cindy, in looking for Kessiah check records in Spartenburg, Cherokee and Greenville Co, SC. That is where the Cherokees had their land by treaty until was taken away.. Really it extend west from a line just about the line of Cherokee Co but records sort of scattered as counties were formed and county lines changed.. areas called Districts back them too

It is possible that I have found my Thomas T. Martin's family. Joseph and Patsey(Martha Bailey) from Va. Found a great resource in the book of Virginia/West Va Revolutionary War Pensions online, listing the places they lived and their children: Stephen b.11/28/1779, Susanna 5/8/1787, Morning/Moaning 8/1/1789, Joseph 9/7/1791-2, Thomas 5/26/1795, Martha/Patsey 5/27/1798 (m. John Perdue). In 1839 Stephen, Susanna, Morning, Joseph reside in Patrick Co. Va dau Patsey res Rockingham Co NC Son Thomas then res "somewhere in the West"... P 179-180.
The book is a preview on Google Books Online but many Martins are present. If you need genealogy info verification, the info does help.
Now if we could find Kessariah/Keziah SC...

Hello,
I am looking for descendants of Edwin Martin and Mary Gransberry. They had two daughters that I know of, Fannie I Martin and Ethel A. Martin. Both were born in Reno Kansas. This family moved to Bent Colorado after 1915. They are listed in the 1920 census in Caddoa Bent Colorado, the trail has now run cold.

Hello! I have members of my Fox family that married into the Martin Family from Albemarle and Amherst counties Virginia. The Martins were very close to Samuel Fox and family during the 1770s in that area.

My Martin brick wall is Thomas T. Martin b. 1790s in Va. married abt 1820 to Keziah/Kissiariah (unknown last name) b 1803 in SC. She was rumored to be full blooded Cherokee. Speculations are that he is descended from Brig General Joseph Martin. They relocated to Fort Smith Ark by 1820 and were first settlers there. Their children were born there and by 1838-9 they moved to Texas where he died in 1840s. If any of this makes connections with yours, I have some suppositions as well as some facts from them forward via their daugher Emaline Martin Morgan.

I am looking for information on John Martin and Thomas Martin, brothers who were married to Williams daughters of Daniel Williams. Daniel Williams was my GGGG Grandfather and he died in Newberry Co., SC 1825. His Will lists John Martin and wife and Thomas Martin and wife, but does not list their names. Hope to find some connections. Tina
