I'm looking for additional information (and descendants) of Lt. Alexander MARSH of Braintree, MA (b 1628 somewhere in UK?, d 1698 Braintree, MA). He is my brick wall on this line. My MARSH line starting with Alexander were located in Braintree, MA (1650s-1770s); Rockingham, VT (1770s-1820s); Tompkins Co (1820s), NY; Allegany Co, NY (1820s-1850s); then moved to Michigan in 1850s

I am trying to find out more about my father's ancestors who came from Devon, U.K. They are reputed to have come from South Molten or Barnstaple. From there two brothers emigrated, one to South Africa and the other to Mauritius where he was a professor of English at Curepipe University.

I am researching Isaac Marsh who was born 6 April 1774 and moved to the Le Roy, Genesee, New York around 1806. He died 16 May 1825 in Le Roy, Genesee and is buried at the Fort Hill Cemetery in Le Roy. He was married to Judith Sweazy and they had six children. I would like to know where Isaac Marsh was born and who is brothers and sisters were.
