I am probably doing this wrong. I sent a message to all of you, and a friend request to Carl Lovitt. In the meantime, I am going to try this by adding a comment. I too am descended from Edward Lovitt (Wolf Creek, KY). I have been in contact with one person who gave me information about Celia etc. I am descended from Celia's sister, Mimy (Permelia/Mima). I see that some folks think that the Lovitts came from Dobbs Co, NC. Also, that perhaps Celia's mother was a mistress, not wife? I understand she was Cherokee. I have no idea whether Mimy was also. I am curious what you might know about all this, and what sources you have.

Ok lets see who I am connected to: John Trammell Lovitt B 04-02-1812 was married to Sara Pennington and their Daughter was Silvania Lovitt.
Silvania Lovitt B 03-23-1840 D 1890 was Married to James Knox Polk Martin on 10-12-1865 in Whitley KY . Their daughter Maudie Mae Martin is my mom's grand mother.
Maudie Mae Martin Married William Harvey Kidd in whitley,KY.

So if we are connected then we can connect to the martins and the Noes and shake the tree to see who we are connected to.
