Joshua Stroud Fletcher death record

Hi-

I'm wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible to find a death record for Joshua Stroud Fletcher who supposedly died of Yellow Fever in New Orleans sometime between 1821-1825. I have a family manuscript that states that Joshua's burial place was discovered in New Orleans, and the person who found it had it confirmed by authorities that Joshua died in 1824, we have conflicting info, some records indicate he died in PA, others say New Orleans.

Sorry for the ramble. :) I'm completely unfamiliar with the records that are kept for Louisiana, and specifically New Orleans.
