Does anyone have access to ancestry world membership & would be willing to email me a transcription of these records:

Daisy Griffin -  Honolulu Passenger List 1900-1953 - Arrived in Honolulu or elsewhere in Hawaii?

Index to Passenger Arrivals in arrivals for Daisy Griffin - Hawaii

Thank you!

Molly, if you go to familysearch.org and click on FamilySearch Centers at the top of your display you will be able find a Family History Center near you.  There are over 4500 worldwide.  Those in the US have free access to Ancestry.com.  There is also someone who can help you find what you need.  Be sure to check the hours that they are open as they are manned by volunteers.

Molly, go to familysearch.org enter in Daisy Griffin and use the filters on the left side, narrowing down birthplace to Ireland and the birth year to the 1880s and you will find the marriage record for her and William Single.  There is also info on their parents.

Hello,

I would love some help with records for Daisy Griffin b. 1886/1887  from Baltinglass, Co Wicklow, Ireland who went to Hawaii (late 1800s/early 1900s?) and married William Single or Dingle (Who I think was British).

Any info on Daisy and or William or their families would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks in advance,

Molly

For Louise in Australia:  I just joined this particular group and you may already have your answers for your questions.

San Mateo is both a city and a county in California.  Tanforan was originally a racetrack for horses in San Bruno.  During World War II, Tanforan was used as for internment of the Japanese.  It returned to use as a racetrack until about 10-20 years ago when it was torn down and replaced by a shopping mall, named Tanforan Shopping Mall.  The only thing that reminds us today of the racetrack is a statue at the main entrance to the mall.

Menlo Park is also in San Mateo county, but it is at the southern end of the county.

Who are you looking for and what time frame.  Maybe I can help you.

Melinda

praying for help. I have the death notice For John Burke but really need his obbit. Acording to what I was able to find out there is an obbit in the CLEVELAND PRESS DATED APRIL 10, 1976......PAGE 01 SEC. 00, ,, Burke, John Son of Mrs Katheryn. Can someone please get the obbit for me. My brother in law is his son, his parents spit up when he was a baby and his mother died when he was 3. Michael never saw his father and dosent even have a picture. Hopeful the obbit will say what school John attended and we can find  schol yearbook. I know it s a lot to ask but I want to help my brother in law, everyone connected to this is dead except Mike and his sisther. Thank you in advance. Miss Robin

Louise, I recommend using google.com to search for the places and then if you find them check for volunteer.  RAOGK has free or nearly free (gas-copies) lookups as well but not all inclusive.  Brenda
