Hello Lindsay group. My Grandmother was Gertrude Lindsay. She was born in the St. Thomas,Ontario, Canada area in 1886. Her Grandfather Robert Lindsay was born in Ireland about 1800 but I have no idea where. His wife, Ellen Coulter Lindsay was also born in Ireland and some think she was from Fermanagh County. The located to Canada between 1839 and 1845. If anyone has information about Robert or Ellen or knows of some research ideas to find them in Ireland and then back into Scotland, I would very much appreciate it. I too am available to help others in their search.

Hi all, My LINDSAYs (my great grandparents) came from Hamilton and Blantyre, Lanarkshire. and came to  Sydney in 1911, settled at Rockdale. The other half of the family LAIDLAW came from Muirkirk, Ayr and later Hamilton. I am still hoping to connect with 'living' cousins, to share images & information.

Hi there I have a William Lindsay from Blairgowrie Perthshire born christening or born 8 Sept 1802 and married to Elizabeth Saunders. They immigrated to Australia in 1838 if that is yours

My Lindsay family comes to a grinding halt in Perthshire i.e. William Lindsay b 1805, Blairgowrie. Anyone got any suggestions how to get round the "records with no parents names on them" problem?
