Thanks Ron,

The 2nd option was the one. I changed it and now it is ok. Isn`t it easy when you know how!

Carolyn, there are two things to check here: 1) go to Options>Customise>View, click the Edit marriage wording button and adjust to suit, and 2) for individual marriages this may be overridden by going to the Marriage Information Screen>Wording Options, and, again adjust to suit.

I meant to add that I have deleted her and added her again but it made no difference.

Hi, I always seem to have a problem with Spouses. I am making a report but on one of the family it says "William not found Mary Ann" instead of " William married Mary Ann". I just can`t find anywhere in the manuel that tells me how to make this right. Can anyone help?

Regards Carolyn

If you do not intend on continuing down any particular line, you can always make notes on the family in the Marriage Notes. e.g. "This couple had 13 kids, 50 grandkids and 54 great-grandkids and 1 great-great grandchild".

Margi, It would be best if you created a discussion for questions on how to use Legacy. In a discussion the answers are kept together. When you just post a comment there is no link between your comments and those posted by others trying to answer your question. I need to ask you some questions about what your are trying to do before I can advise you how to do it. Those questions need to be linked to your posting.

To create a discussion click on the Add Discussion at the bottom of the Discussion Forum section.

Margi,

I am not sure I understand what it is you are trying to do!

You want to put them in, but not name them?

You can either give them a mention in the comments box, so anyone looking at the details of your dad's cousin would see the detail, and that would mean you do not need a record of all of them.

Or you can list '13 children' without allocating a sex, as a 'child' of your dad's cousin, and below them you can write, again as a 'child', '50 children', and so on.

Hi,

I'm new to Legacy and have a question. I put one of my dad's cousin in the the program and she has 13 kids, 50 grandkids and 54 great-grandkids and 1 great-great grandchild. I just want to put the names of her kids not the others. Where would I place them without naming each and everyone of them?

 Thanks for your help.

The latest version has a new set of rules for margins. If you try to make margins smaller than your printer allows they will be reset to the default values. There was a mix of rules previously, some reports would reset the margins to the printer minimum, some would accept the bad margins but when you tried to print the part outside the minimum margin would be cut off by the printer and others followed this new standard of resetting to the defaults.
