Lees of VA and TN
My gggggreat grandfather was Barnett Philander Lee (b. abt 1777 VA, m. 1801 TN to Mary Derossett (DeRosset), d. 7 Feb 1843 TN). My line continues down from their son Thomas Jefferson Lee (b. 28 Sept 1809 TN, m. abt 1830 in TN to Elizabeth Anderson, d. 1 Feb 1886 TN). Their daughter Margaret Ann Lee (b. 8 Mar 1839 TN, m. 16 May 1866 TN to Felix N. Patterson, d. 19 June 1885 TX) was my gggreat-grandmother. Are there any others who are researching this line?

We share the same ggggreat grandfather, Barnett Philander Lee. You are related to Jim Arnold? Anyway. Barnett had a son, David Maburn, and his son was David Barnett Lee. David Barnett went by Barney and it is even on his tombstone. Rebecca Jane Lee was Barney's daughter. Her daughter was Maude Elizabeth McLeod Zolman, my grandmother. My mother was Janet Lee Zolman Francis. I have been researching this line for years. My brother started a DNA project. Our DNA is on Ancestry. Have you been able to confirm Barnett's parents?

Hello Cheryl! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Haven't been on this site for awhile. Yes, I am related to Jim Arnold. I have the parents of Barnett Philander Lee as Richard Henry Lee and Elizabeth Miller. Would be interested in your DNA findings.

My ggreat-grandparents were Felix N. and Margaret Ann (Lee) Patterson. Their son, Thomas N. Patterson, was my great-grandfather. I don't know much about them. I would love any info you have.
