Allison.. thanks so much for starting this discussion forum..

The deepest roots that I can find for my father's family is in Lamar County, Alabama. My father was named after his grandfather and great grandfather, all with the name of Gabriel Dillard Beasley. Great grandfather Gabriel Dillard Beasley was born about 1807 TN, married Martha Jane Appling in about 1834 in Alabama, raised their many children, and both died (he in 1863 and she in 1907) and are buried in Kennedy, Lamar County, Alabama. Both great grandfather and grandfather were original owners of land in Fayette and Tuscaloosa Co, AL. Census records say that great grandfather was born in Tenn, but I cannot determine for sure where he was born nor who his parents were. I would very much like to correspond with anyone who descends from these ancestors and have documentation proving your facts.....census, tax lists, land records, old newspapers, family bible.....etc.

I appreciate any help and will share whatever information I have... Thanks so much.
