My Joyce Family came here in the mid 1840's and settle in what is now known as LBL use to be Land Between the Rivers. They later moved to Calloway Marshall Caldwell and other parts of Trigg County. My picture is taken at our family cemetery in LBL one of the very few still active cemeteries there.

My Doolin line lived in Kentucky before 1800 and some moved to Missouri by 1832. James Doolin (also seen as Duling and Dulin at times) was married to Mary UNKNOWN and had many children. Mostly they lived in Pulaski Co, KY, but were in Fleming and possibly others before that.

My direct line from his son Benjamin moved to Premiscot/New Madrid Co, MO ca 1832-38 and then on to Audrain Co, MO. I am greatly interested in any and all Doolin lines.

I run the Doolin DNA Project and welcome any male with the surname Doolin (any spelling) to consider testing. Sometimes it is the only way to know if one is related or not.

My family's oral history says we are related to the Oklahoma outlaw Bill Doolin. This may or may not be true, so currently I'm waiting for the test results of a relative of Bill to see. Could you be related????

Wow someone from Trigg County. My Martin and Clark familes are from Bumpus Mills, Roaring Springs and Cadiz. The old home place is now called the live ammo range of Fort Campbell KY.

Hi my main families are JOYCE from Trigg County, KY also some in Caldwell, Calloway and Marshall Counties. The Garrott's I research is from Christian, Todd and Graves. Have lived in Trigg most of my life. I am not one to follow forums, and in fact my husband is the one who found GenealoyWise on FaceBook and sent me the link. Guess you are never to old to learn new tricks. But if you have passion about what you are doing I guess it is easy to talk about. Glad to meet everyone. If I can help anyone just let me know.

My paternal ancestors are from Kentucky. My grandmother was born in Paintesville, and her family has lived there since the early 1800's, so I have alot of research to do in Kentucky. I am researching Gibbs, McKenzie, Brown, Lewis, Daniel, Witten, and Rice all in Johnson County.I have only been researching this line for a few months, and have been totally obssessed. I am thrilled to have found this group.

My paternal ancestors are from Kentucky, which is my main research focus at this time. Mainly Owensboro, Louisville, Cloverport, Patesville, McQuady. Surnames are: Ijames/Eimes (spelling changed), Pate, Tabeling, Jarboe. I am 2 days new to Genealogy Wise, I have been mainly on Facebook, and I have my own blog: www.ginisology.blogspot.com, I work full time so I have very little time to research right now but do it when ever I get a moment, very much addicted to family history!

Searching Aton, mainly in Union, Hopkins, and Webster Counties. This is my husband's mother's family. As she didn't tell her children much about the family, we're pretty much on our own her, with a head start from a distant cousin who generously shared some information.

My KY families are Cox and Garrison (originally from Albemarle County, VA). My great-great grandfather was Robert M Cox, born c. 1814 in KY. He married (1838) Frances Adeline Garrison in Adair County, and they later lived in Green County before moving to Illinois. Frances Adeline had a sister, Sidney Ann, who married a Samuel R Cox in Adair County about the same time; I think Robert & Samuel may have been brothers, as they continued to live near one another for at least a decade. Samuel was born 1818 in KY. Frances & Sidney's father Valentine "Volly" Garrison moved from VA to Adair County after 1820, and later to Green County. There appear to have been other Garrison family members that moved from Albemarle County, VA, to Adair and Green Counties, KY.

I'm happy to have found Genealogy Wise and Kentucky Genealogy. My patermal grandmother was born near Crider Kentucky, just north of Princeton - her family had been in that area for several generations - and my maternal great-grandmother from Paintsville.
