Hi All, My family Johnstons came from Inverness-shire, Scotland around 1852. His name was John H Johnston. Then the family went to Iowa then to CA. I haven't been able to read all of the comments yet, but I will. I'm new to this site, but it looks like fun.

Searching for information about the family of Mary Magdalene Johnston, B. 1920-1928 in Pike County Mississippi - possibly near McComb. Rumor has it she was at least partially Choctaw. She married a Michael Dadario and ended up in Philadelphia, PA. [Trying to get my daughter-in-law interested in genealogy]

I'm looking for information on John Johnston who lived in Buffalo NY in the 1890's. He came from Ireland - Sligo / Co Lietrim. Haven't been able to find how he got to Buffalo.

my ggrandfather was thomas m. johnston. his birth is a mystery. on his marriage record...it states he was born 1851 in mexico city, mexico. his obit says he was born in brockville canada..and most of the census either say michigan or illinois. his death record says canada. he is my brick wall. i cannot find his parents or where thomas was actually born...any ideas?

My JOHNSTON family goes back to John JOHNSTON of Washington Co, AL. His grandson John L Johnston came to Austin County, Texas in 1839. He and wife Eliza McGee had 9 children, Margaret, Harriet, Penelope, William, Lemuel, John (Jack), James, Elizabeth and Daniel.

I am researching Ellen Johnston (my paternal grandmother) who was born in 1881 in Carroll County, Mississippi. Her sister, Hannah) was born in 1896. I thank you in advance for any information you could provide me about Ellen.
