Looking for ancestors of my Swedish great grandmother , Mathilda Johanson, 1859-1934 Johnson in the US. She m. August Walbeck, who died in1885 Her brothers August and Charles lived near her in Proctor Rutland Co. Their death certificates name John and Gustava as their parents. She was born in Skona, Skegern, Sweden. I have a photo album showing many nameless people. My late mother, told me that Mathilda has sisters who were twins. I would appreciate hel, but do not speak Swedish. Thank you!

I'm a descendant of Captain John Johnson of Roxbury, Massachusetts and have a lot of information on this family.  His son, Humphrey was my 9th great grandfather.  My grandmother was Hazel Johnson daughter of Moses Perry Johnson.

As a familyl member of the 2nd most popular surname in the USA, I am researching my gggrandfather and gggrandmother who lived in New York, Chicago and Ohio.  Death records indicate both died in NY, probably around Kings and/or Jersey City.  We can't find anyone beyond them - my gggrandfather was William Jewett Johnson (believed interred at Green-Wood, Brooklyn as just Jewitt) born 1828 and died 1874, gggrandmother went on to become a faith healer and evangelist who wrote several books, her name was Anna Jane Johnson (nee Semple of Ireland) - we can't find anything out about her immigration to the USA; neither of their birth details; their marriage details or indeed their parentage....if anyone else is on this line, please let me know.  I live in Australia so cannot simply go view records.  I have been a member of Ancestry for about 10 years and no joy!  Thanks :-)

My gggrandparents were Joseph B Johnson born 1827 Tn and Elizabeth Ballard born 1837 from Red River Co Tx. They had a daughter named Alice C Johnson ( in some census I have found her name as Allis) one day I would like to find out where they are buried.

So...I have more information...a cousin of mine sent to me some research that he has done that I have looked at and it traces Johnsons back quite a ways to 1714 in/near Culpeper, VA.  I am just beginning and I don't yet know the accuracy of his work;  I need to check with my cousin and see what his source work was.  But this is all kind of cool.  I had a family member that rode with Mosby's rangers in the Civil War and it seems like the Johnson farm in Va. was a key part of that effort.
