Further to last, I could be wrong - it does seem to have recognised me and remembered my account here.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Oh well, at least I can get on with my project again. Thanks to anyone who read and was prepared to help. It is much appreciated.

I have an awful feeling I've made a mess of things.

I had thought I signed up about this time last year, when I first started looking into the Level 1 ICAP Gen exam.

Trouble is, I was ill meanwhile and had to stop for a bit, and then this morning, when I went to sign in on the ICAP Gen page, it said my email doesn't exist and directed me to create a profile, which loaded to here.

I definitely have been here before, I'm sure of it.

Could anybody please direct me to the appropriate place to get help?

My name is Jake Fletcher, I have been pursuing genealogy for six years and it has become more than hobby, but rather a career direction. I find that just coming from school, my genealogy education has been mostly solitary. I am producing a lot of work right now that I would like to work towards my portfolio. I have met a lot of people who said my work is great, but I feel like I could really benefit from someone reviewing my work with more scrutiny so I can become better. Does anyone have any suggestions or are they interested in reading some genealogy work I have produced.

Thank you, your time is greatly appreciated,

Jake

I am new to this group.  Don't see much by way of a guide how to get around the website and participate and ask questions, etc.

How do I contribute questions to the Discussion Forum?  Thanks.

Application deadlines for 2012 have been posted on our website.

They are:

January 2012 Quarter - 10 Jan 2012

April 2012 Quarter - 3 Apr 2012

July 2012 Quarter - 3 Jul 2012

October 2012 Quarter - 2 Oct 2012

Applications for accreditation must be received by ICAPGen by the deadline above, in order to be considered to take the exam during that quarter. It is recommended but not required that the application be submitted the quarter prior to the one in which the applicant desires to take the exam.
