Those who want to accredit in more than one area will find that the hours will overlap for some of the experience tables. For example: hours in classes, study of books and volunteer work in the genealogical community can be used again.

If we want to certify in two areas, do we need a separte 1000 hrs or will some of our hours be useful for both? E.G. England and wWales

If you have already registered at the ICAPGen website, you do not need to register again. I just wanted to make sure that everybody has heard that registration is necessary to receive up to date information about ICAPGen and its programs.

Do we need to re-register if we are already registered? I haven't seen anything indicating whether it needs to be redone- maybe I missed it. I am enjoying the information and discussions and would feel bad if I miss out. Thanks for all you are doing.

Only those that are registered will continue to receive Mentoring emails and updates. The "Forum" area is a great place to find others researching in your same area. You may wish to trade some research projects in order to gain experience in all the states in your US region or International area.

Probably a question that has been asked before; if so, I'm sorry. Where do we find the international version of the experience pages? I can only find the link for US/Canada form.

Washington D.C. is part of the Mid-Atlantic area. We are trying to be consistent with the areas including a list of states. Because Washington D.C. is not a state you do not need to create an experience table for Washington D.C. in the Mid-Atlantic area.
